Xia founded Mur Mur Lab architectural firm in Shanghai in 2016, embarking on a series of practices related to architecture, installations, and spaces, seeking connections between architecture, words, and images in her creation. She has been honored as one of the “Young 100+ Designers” by AD and Domus, and “Emerging Designer of the Year” by IDEAT Ideal Home in the 2019 Future Awards.

The viewer transitions from an external environment into a semi-enclosed wooden space through a narrow door. In this confined space, the light is warm, and the sunset can be seen at a distance but not reached.
